How do I enable cookies in my browser?

thedatabank, gbc provides forms that assist non profit organizations with donations, signups, volunteering, and other activities with their supporters.  The forms require a cookie to keep track of a person's progress while the form is being filled out.  When the form is embedded in a client's web site, its cookie is a "third-party cookie."

Cookies, and especially third-party cookies, can attract suspicion because they can be misused to track a person's activities across many web sites.  thedatabank, gbc uses form cookies exclusively for processing forms.  They're deleted when you close your browser.

If you've received a message asking you to enable cookies before continuing to fill out a form, here are instructions for setting your cookie options in Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Apple Safari.  These instructions are for current browser versions as of April, 2018.

Google Chrome

1. Click the   button in the upper right, then click Settings, then click the  button.
2. Click Advanced, then click Privacy and Security, then click Content Settings, then click Cookies.
3. Enable Allow sites to save and read cookie data (recommended).
4. Disable Block third-party cookies.
5. For more granular control of third party cookies, you can enable Block third-party cookies, then scroll further down to Allow and ADD www3.thedatabank.com as an exception.

Mozilla Firefox

1. Click the  button, then click Options.
2. Click Privacy and Security, then scroll down to History.
3. Enable Accept cookies from websites.
4. Select Always for Accept third-party cookies.
5. For more granular control of third-party cookies, set Accept third-party cookies to Never, then click Exceptions and Allow cookies for www3.thedatabank.com.

Microsoft Edge

1. Click the   button, then click Settings.
2. Click the View Advanced Settings button.
3. Under Cookies, select Don't block cookies.
4. Edge does not provide granular control of third-party cookies.

Apple Safari

1. Click Safari to open the menu, then click Preferences, then click Privacy.
2. Un-check Block all cookies.
3. Un-check Prevent cross-site tracking 
4. Safari does not provide granular control of third-party cookies.
