Credit Card Decline Notifications
CompletedCan you please set something up in the “Shopping Cart” (that is hosted by Databank) so that customers whose online credit cards have been declined get an email notification – even it’s just a general email indicating there’s a problem with the information entered. Most times the declines are due to address or zip code errors and could be easily fixed if the customer knew the card was not being accepted.
The way it works now the customer does not receive a notification that their card has been rejected and therefore never try to re-enter with correct information or a different card. It also leaves the burden on us to notify them of a card rejection - which is time-consuming and feels like a privacy issue. We don’t even receive an email notification that the credit card has been rejected.
Our Credit Card processing company (Fastcharge) has told us now that this is a CGI issue on Databank's end and needs to be fixed in the shopping cart. This feature seems pretty standard in other shopping carts. Thank you!

This feature is now live. When a credit card is declined upon completing a form, the user will receive a notification that their card did not go through.
Please note, this is only an option for clients with payment gateways that process the transaction immediately. Clients with a payment gateway which requires the transaction to be posted manually will not see this notification.

A very obvious transaction decline/rejection landing page option would also be helpful. Some folks may not see the declined email. Immediate feedback is so useful.
Thanks!
