Search that includes spouses/partners

We manage spouses/partners in two different ways in the Databank.

1. When we only have one e-mail address for a couple and don't have an individual relationship with the spouse/partner, we store the couple as one record using name 1 and name 2.

2. When both members of the couple are signed up for our mailing lists, or we have individual relationships with both members of the couple, we use the relationship feature to link records.

When we are pulling lists, for example for exporting, the export exports both members of the couple when we use first method as above. But not the second.

I want to be able to do a search and export records where both spouses (joined by relationship) appear on the same line.

In general, I would like to see more robust handling of relationships in the Databank.
