    Hello Aron,

    I suggest you take advantage of the two Salutation fields for this use case. An advantage of using the Salutation fields is that if the field is empty, we fall back to the first name. If that field is empty we fall back to inserting "Friend" into the merge field.  This way, no matter which field you start with, the name will always be populated with something when using PowerMail.

    Thanks Marcos. That looks like it will be a help for merges. I wish that the salutation field also showed up on the main record page and was searchable in quickfind so that we can easily find people by preferred names and so that if I am looking at a record, I'll know right away the correct way to address someone.
