Personalized subject lines in PowerMail

We really, really want the ability to customize/personalize subject lines in our Powermails. According to recent research, "It’s common knowledge that personalization works, but it’s always nice to see the numbers. The study found in an A/B split test that “[First Name], Your Membership is About to Expire” had a 13 percent better open rate than the non-personalized “Your Membership is About to Expire” (56 percent against 43 percent)."

Any possibility this is on the list of planned improvements?

  Hi Denise and Aviva,

  It's so awesome to see you helping each other out on this post!

  I can confirm that all of the merge fields that are available in the body of your message are also available to be used in the subject line. Whatever gets inserted into your message is what should be used in the subject line e.g. First Name = [fname].  

  You can also use emojis in your Subject lines if you want to experiment with that

  We have used this subject line. I just tested it and it was personalized.

  So am I understanding you correctly...just manually type in the info you want that would be a merge field in the body of the message?

  None of our records has any data in Salutation 1. Would this work with [fname], I wonder. (Update: no, it doesn't)

  Also, does this work with other merge fields? For instance, a subject line that reads something like: "Join with other ______ [county] activists in making your voice heard!"

  We want to be able to use different merge fields in the subject line.

  It would be awesome to be able to use more merge fields (I upvoted). I just wanted to share something that we've used that has been successful given our limited tools and functionality.

  Thanks, Aviva! I just tried it with County and it worked. I'm going to experiment!
