Ability to select campaign in the contribution summary when downloading list of contributors

Currently, when I am downloading a list of contributors to write personal thank you notes, my only option is to select "most recent contribution amount." However, that isn't always the amount I am writing our donor about. For instance, we have XX number of monthly donors and have three simultaneous campaigns in progress. I would like to be able to pull a list that allows me to select donors for a specific campaign so that my mail merge accurately reflects the amount for that campaign. 

The inability to do this is particularly time consuming today, hence this feature request, because I'm writing to 213 people who contributed at one of two events we had last week, while a PAC FR campaign is in progress, AND some of the attendees are also monthly donors. 

Grrr...

  This is accomplished with the Fundraising Roster.
