Top-Level Administrator Managing Sub-Organizations
CompletedMy idea had some help from Adam Oien on the Support Team, but I have expanded it just a bit.
The basic concept applies to any organization with one or more sub-organizations that also use thedatabank. The feature request is for the Top-Level Administrator to have a drop-down menu (possibly in the upper-right corner of the screen) where he/she could select one of the sub-organizations & have the interface change to appear as though one has logged in as a sub-organization user.
This would be useful in cases where Aux. Data has to be uploaded for a sub-organization, but the top-level organization handles all of the data uploading. The top-level administrator would then be able to upload the data into an aux. database, map the fields, and move it to the permanent db without the need to submit a support ticket for the auxiliary db moving to a sub-organization.
Currently, I work around this issue by having a full-privileges administrator log-in for each sub-organization. Having this feature would reduce the number of users in each sub-organization & quite a few users overall.
I'm curious to know how many support tickets per month are in regards to moving an auxiliary db to a permanent db of a sub-organization? This may shed some light on how necessary this might be.
